Create the Space for Love

Create the Space for Love

“A good home must be made, not bought.” ~ Joyce Maynard

The universe abhors a vacuum. Meaning, where there’s an opening there’s the possibility of fulfillment. The good news here is that you can use your home to create the love and relationship you desire.

Your home is an extension of you. It’s the environment body that helps or detracts from your life. When you consciously connect with it, you can literally program your home to call in specific results. Remember, everything is energy. When you move the energy in your home it effects how you feel about yourself, how people relate to you and the results you’ll produce.

Since we’re on the dating, attraction and relationship train, let’s look at creating the space for your heart’s desires to be met on this level.

Take a moment and scan your home in your mind’s eye. Are you proud of the look and feel? Does it make your cringe? Are you somewhere in the middle?

Now take a moment and imagine yourself spending time at your home with a potential mate. Are you inspired to bring them to your home? Are you thinking, oh hell no! I don’t want anyone seeing this mess. It’s going to take a major overhaul before I let anyone walk through these doors.

If you’re thinking the latter, well love, listen up. The raw truth of it is—if your home isn’t fit for a visitor, there’s some serious lack of self-love going on and you need to read THIS PREVIOUS POST. You don’t need to have your home set up like the Ritz, but you do need to have it set in a way that reflects your lifestyle, interests and care of self.

MOJO EXERCISE:

The first place to start is in your bedroom.

The bedroom relates to all things relational, even if it’s the relationship with yourself. You want to investigate this part of your home. It’s the hub of relationship, the place where people usually get intimate. When you have a partner, this is the place where you both rest and rock out the romance. It’s within these four walls that you can wildly support the love in your life.

Start by literally making space and room for love, physically in your home.

  1. Purge and remove anything that doesn’t relate to the 3R’s:
    1. Rest
    2. Romance
    3. Rejuvenation
  1. Purge and remove old ‘stuff.’

Hanging onto your family’s chest of drawers because you feel guilty giving it away? Ugh! That’s got to go. Do a thorough examination of the bedroom and whatever you don’t love, get rid of.

  1. Have two nightstands.

In order to create a relationship, there’s got to be a place for ‘the other.’ When there’s only one nightstand, there’s a void where a partner would be in the room and that creates the void in your life.

Bonus: Have a drawer or some closet space for ‘your beloved.’ This literally creates an opening to be filled by your soon to be met mate.

Whatever you do, have fun with the process and remember: romancing yourself is the gateway to attracting a romantic partner.

Big love,

Deborah
